“Hallgate” in WHS

by Caroline Baldwin

The recent shenanigans of the Bridgegate scandal really got me thinking about starting something similar in WHS. What if the students rebelled against the administration because we don’t agree on everything? We don’t need to stand for the scanners anymore since it’s always up in the air if they decide to work which causes some major traffic issues.

Lighter Side

The recent shenanigans of the Bridgegate scandal really got me thinking about starting something similar in WHS. What if the students rebelled against the administration because we don’t agree on everything? We don’t need to stand for the scanners anymore since it’s always up in the air if they decide to work which causes some major traffic issues.

Attention WHS students: time for some traffic problems in the hallways. Let’s aim for the first day of second semester, Feb. 5 starting at 6:15 a.m. They don’t agree with us on the ridiculousness of the scanners so let’s wreak some havoc.

Starting from the back entrance let’s fill in until the front hallway. Although it’s highly debatable that all 1,800 students can fit in that confined area, it was also highly debatable all those cars could fit on the George Washington Bridge. What’s the harm in trying?

Hopefully, our administration doesn’t have to be anywhere quickly on that lovely Thursday morning. We either move at a snail-like pace or not at all. And once they finally reach a perpendicular hallway to try to beat the traffic, let’s place hundreds of traffic cones blocking them off. They’ll have no choice but to stand in the hallway with all of us until eventually we file into the classes we need.

For all they know, we just moved extra slowly that morning–you know, because we’re up late the night before doing work for all eight of our AP classes. We just need to clear all evidence of this plan and hope it doesn’t come to surface three or four months later.
