New year, new movies in 2016

With the New Year comes new movies. Here is a look at 10 movies that will be coming out in 2016.
Finding Dory
The beloved blue fish from Finding Nemo is back and as forgetful as ever. Dory, voiced by Ellen DeGeneres, is reunited with her loved ones to teach everyone a little bit about family. Release date: June 17

The Divergent Series: Allegiant
The final installment of Veronica Roth’s popular Divergent series stars Shailene Woodley and Theo James as they explore the world outside the fence. Release date: March 18

Moana
Directed by John Musker and Ron Clements, Disney’s Moana features a young Polynesian princess on a quest accompanied by the legendary demi-god Maui, voiced by Dwayne Johnson. Release date: Nov. 23

The BFG
Originally a novel by Roald Dahl, the author of children’s classics such as Matilda and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The BFG is a coming out on July 3. Directed by Steven Spielberg, this movie is about a girl named Sophie who encounters The Big Friendly Giant who, unlike his giant peers, refuses to eat little boys and girls.

Zoolander 2
A sequel to the popular movie Zoolander, this movie features Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson as popular models as a different company tries to take them out of business. This movie is directed by Ben Stiller and comes out on Feb. 12.

My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2
The Greek clan returns with a sequel to My Big Fat Greek Wedding on March 25. Directed by Kirk Jones, this movie is about an even bigger big fat Greek wedding.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
Directed by Zack Snyder, this movie features Batman and Superman fighting each other to see what type of superhero is needed in town. But when new threat Doomsday comes to town, Batman and Superman work together to save Metropolis. The film debuts on March 25.

The Jungle Book
Directed by Jon Favreau, this new version of the original 1967 film features a boy growing up in the jungle with the help of wolves, a bear, and a black panther. This film computer-generated imagery to make a live action remake; it debuts on April 15.

X-Men: Apocalypse
Directed by Bryan Singer this movie features Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, waking up after one thousand years and creating a powerful team of mutants who want to cleanse mankind and create order. In this film, Raven and Professor X lead a team of X-men to save mankind from destruction.

Star Wars: Rogue One
Directed by Gareth Edwards, this movie is the first in a stand-alone Star Wars Anthology series and it take place before the events of the Star Wars Movies. This movie features a group of rebels on a mission to steal the plans for the Death Star. The movie debuts on Dec. 16.
