Tired of the never-ending winter season? Looking for an alternative to sitting inside at home on another snowy night?
If you answered yes to one or both of these questions, come and join the SGA as they host a student-faculty basketball game on March 5 at 7 p.m. in the Varsity Gym. Some old-fashioned school spirit is sure to warm you up.
Said SGA Adviser Ms. Allison Roberts: “Last year, the kids and faculty who played in the game had a blast. We are hoping to carry that enthusiasm into the whole student body and get a good showing in the stands to support friends and teachers alike.”
Senior James Goldberger said that he is hopeful to play again this year in the student-faculty game. “I’m looking forward to defending the students victory from last year and [showing] the teachers all that…students have to offer,” he added.
Romano added, “The idea, conceived last year, emanated from the fact that the officers all had fond memories of the student-faculty games held at middle school and how successful and fun they were, and we wanted to bring this event to the high school for the same reasons.”
In addition to the basketball game, the officers are also working hard to come up with new ideas for SGA, said Roberts. They said they are excited to kick-off the second semester with Waffle Wednesday and also look forward to the March Madness Tournament to keep the school spirit up.
