Take a bite out of Westfield

Written by Courtney Ryan

The time has come.

Finally, Open Lunch has begun at WHS. For those just starting to venture to the many popular eateries throughout Westfield, here are some suggestions of old favorites and new places to get you started:

Hershey’s: A common, casual place for students to go for open lunch and chow down on anything from sandwiches to chicken fingers and fries. You should expect to get there in about two minutes, leaving you enough time to enjoy your lunch. Said senior Logan Klier, “I like going to Hershey’s because they support our school and it’s cheap.”

Feast Catering: This bistro-style restaurant is another popular spot for students looking for a healthier selection that they can customize, ranging from salads to sandwiches. If you drive, you can get there in approximately three minutes. Said junior Brigid McCusker, “I really like going to Feast for lunch because they have great food and it’s not too far away.”

Bagel Chateau:This Westfield favorite has been serving up bagels for 30 years. It is known for its high quality food and homey feel. BChat is usually crowded, but it’s worth the wait.  Said junior Cami Sullivan, “I love going to BChat because it’s really convenient, it’s the heart of Westfield.”

Qdoba: This restaurant is a quick and easy place to get Mexican food with a traditional feel. It’s scenery is full of Mexican culture and brings the atmosphere together. Said senior William Chen: “I love going to Qdoba. I try to go out to lunch there as often as I can.”
