Senior Ellie Reinhardt, juniors Sarah Cronin and Caroline Baldwin and freshman Gwyn Devin broke the County and WHS records for the 200 yard freestyle relay.
Said Baldwin: “This group…is so powerful. We are constantly surprised at what we can do together.”
Junior Gabby Stravach broke the WHS indoor record for the 1600 m with a time of 5:22:28.
Said Stravach, “Hearing the cheers on every lap motivated me to keep pushing through the pain and run my best race.”
Senior Sam Meyer broke the WHS hockey record for most goals scored in a game with seven against Governor Livingston.
Said Meyer, “It’s a great feeling breaking a record that hadn’t been broken for over 10 years.”
Juniors Amanda Fischer, Jenna Helfand, Sophia Goldschmidt and sophomore Elena Chermak broke the WHS indoor record for the 4x200 m.
Said Fischer: “It was our first time running all together this season.... It was a really exciting moment for all of us.”
