The award-winning WHS Theatre Department has begun preparations for its 2013 spring musical, Bat Boy: The Musical, Drama Teacher Mr. Daniel Devlin, with musical direction from Chorus Teacher Mr. John Brzozowski and set design by Art Teacher Mr. Roy Chambers.
Bat Boy, set in the town of Hope Falls, WV, is the story of a half-bat, half-boy who lives in a cave until he is discovered by three teenagers. Bat Boy is taken to the home of veterinarian Dr. Thomas Parker. The Parker Family takes Bat Boy in, gives him the name Edgar and teaches him to be human. Meanwhile, many of the Hope Falls ranchers are concerned because their cows are dying unexpectedly. Some are blaming the strange Bat Boy for these unexplainable deaths, leading to tensions among the town, mysterious murders and plenty of song and dance. Come to the auditorium March 14, 15 or 16 to see it.
