Boys’ track makes strides

WHS won first place in the sprint medley with junior Nicholas Antonelli, sophomore Coston O’Brien, and seniors Joshua Capistrano and William Chandler. Antonelli and Capistrano both set new personal records.
Senior Matt Russo placed first overall in the 1600 with a new personal record of 4:26.20, shaving 22.50 seconds off his best. He was followed by junior Ryan Siegel in 4:49.90 and senior Bryan Jackler in 4:51.60.

Junior Michael Stokes placed sixth overall in the pole vault competition, clearing a new height with a personal record of 10’ 06.00”.

The 4×800 relay of Chandler, Antonelli, O’Brien and senior Andrew Harting-Smith placed sixth. Chandler, Antonelli and O’Brien set new personal records of: 2:01.40, 2:05.20, 2:03.80, respectively.

Sophomore Jake Triarsi came in first out of the WHS boys team for the 800 meters in a personal record time of 2:07.30. He was followed by juniors Liam Loughlin in 2:14.90 and Darian Siegel in 2:21.30.

In the 200 meter dash, Capistrano lead the way in 24.50, followed closely by junior Dan Gigon in 24.70 and senior Christopher Prasek in 24.90.
