Local scholarships

As college approaches, many seniors are looking for scholarship opportunities in order to lessen the burden on their wallets. There are many local scholarship opportunities for WHS seniors:

  • The College Men’s Club offers a scholarship for graduating male students who are in financial need. This scholarship application requires an essay.
  • The College Women’s Club of Westfield offers a scholarship to a female senior who has lived in Westfield for at least one year. Financial need is required to be eligible for this scholarship.
  • The Westfield Parent-Teacher Council offers a scholarship to a graduating senior male or female. An interview as well as a copy of a completed FAFSA is required.
  • The WHS Rotary Club offers a scholarship to a graduating senior who is in need of financial aid and has demonstrated academic excellence at WHS. An interview and an essay are also required.
  • The Westfield Education Association offers a scholarship to graduating WHS seniors male or female. The application for this scholarship requires a completed Common App, one transcript and one teacher recommendation.
  • The Westfield Foundation offers a scholarship to a graduating senior who is in the top 25 percent of his or her class and demonstrates financial need. A copy of the FAFSA is also required.
  • The Gregg F. Clyne Memorial Foundation offers a scholarship to students who have been accepted to the University of Delaware, and have maintained no less than 3.2 GPA throughout high school. An interview is also required.
  • The William E. Wyman Scholarship is available to graduating seniors who plan to attend a licensed technical school, vocational school or accredited college.
  • UNICO offers a scholarship for a graduating senior who is a United States citizen of Italian heritage, demonstrates financial need and has shown academic success, leadership and character.
  • The Westfield Jaycees offers a scholarship to a graduating senior who is in financial need. A FAFSA as well as a 250-500 word essay that focuses on community service is required.

Applications for the following scholarships are available in the Guidance Office.
