The varsity baseball team has an overall record of 17-8 as of May 23. Coach Bob Brewster captured his 600th career win this season. The varsity team also captured its 15th Union County Tournament win on May 12.
The girls varsity softball team had a successful season with a record of 17-6. WHS had the third-ranked softball team in the Union County Conference and lost to J.P. Stevens in the NJSIAA Sectional Quarterfinals on Tuesday.
The boys lacrosse team, 10-6 as of May 23, defeated Summit in the Union County Boys Lacrosse Tournament final. Westfield defeated Hunterdon Central in the North Jersey Group 4 NJSIAA Boys Lacrosse Tournament quarterfinal on May 20.
The boys golf team currently holds a 9-3 record. On May 11, Westfield won its first Union County Tournament title since 2012. Westfield also won the Union County Conference championship, and is participating in the NJSIAA Group Championships.
The girls golf squad had a spectacular season at 12-1. The team won the North Jersey Girls Golf League championship match, as well as winning the most matches in the conference during the regular season.
The WHS boys tennis team had a 24-2 record as of May 23, including a 16-0 record in district play. Westfield defeated J.P. Stevens in the North Jersey Section 2, Group 4 final in a rematch of last year.

The WHS girls placed second overall in the Union County Championships, while the boys finished fifth. For more individual performances, see story to the left.
This year’s girls lacrosse team finshed with a 10-8 record. The team got to the NJSIAA Sectional Semifinals on Tuesday, but lost to Bridgewater-Raritan.
