The cross country team ran in the Bernie Magee Class Meet last Saturday. Here are some highlights from both teams:
Girls
– Freshman Lila Hutchins led WHS with a 15:25 to a team finish of eighth overall for the freshman girls race.
– Junior Meghan O’Dwyer ran a 20:31 finishing fourth overall in the junior girls race.
– Junior Gabby Brennan ran a 20:40 finishing fifth overall in the junior girls race.
– The WHS junior girls finished second overall.
– Sophomore Julia Gretsky ran a 21:20. The team finished third overall.
– Senior Anna Tanji ran a 21:23. The team finished seventh overall.
Boys
– Freshman Gabriel Gilverber ran a 12:31, placing fifth overall in the freshman boys race. The team finished sixth overall.
– Sophomore Ryan Siegel ran a 17:30, placing second overall in the sophomore boys race. The team finished third overall.
– Junior Matthew Russo ran a 16:55, placing sixth overall in the junior boys race. The team finished eighth overall.
– Senior Quad-Captain Matthew Luppino ran a 16:27, placing second overall in the senior boys race. The team finished fifth overall.
